Invitation: The 2026 Lanna Songkran and Rod Nam Dum Hua Ceremony, School of Health Science, MFU

The School of Health Science, Mae Fah Luang University, cordially invites faculty members, staff, students, and alumni to participate in the Lanna Tradition and Culture Preservation Project: “Rod Nam Dum Hua and Songkran Festival (Pee Mai Muang) 2026.” The event will take place on Thursday, 23 April 2026, at the Activity Area, Building E3B, 3rd Floor. This ceremony is a dedicated time to express gratitude to senior faculty members and preserve the beautiful traditions of the Lanna people.

Schedule of Events:

• 10:00 AM: Registration
• 10:30 AM: New Year blessings by the Dean of the School of Health Science
• 11:00 AM: Rod Nam Dum Hua ceremony for the senior faculty members of the School of Health Science
• 12:00 PM: Communal lunch at Room E3B-313
• 03:00 PM: Water pouring ceremony for the Buddha image, tribute ceremony to the statue of HRH Princess Srinagarindra, and Songkran blessing ceremony at the Princess Mother’s 80th Anniversary Auditorium (C4).
• 04:00 PM: Conclusion of the ceremony.

To honor and conserve our local heritage, participants are kindly requested to wear traditional Lanna attire or the university’s Mo Hom shirt
