มฟล. เสริมสร้างความร่วมมือวิชาการด้านสาธารณสุขข้ามพรมแดน ร่วมกับ 2 มหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำจากออสเตรเลียและสหรัฐฯ
เมื่อวันที่ 2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.มัชฌิมา นราดิศร อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนจาก The University of Western Australia และ University of Oregon สหรัฐอเมริกา เพื่อหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือทางวิชาการด้านการบริหารจัดการสาธารณสุขข้ามพรมแดน ณ อาคารวันชัย ศิริชนะ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง
การเข้าพบในครั้งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ Cross Border Health Program 2026 ที่สำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพร่วมกับศูนย์บริการวิชาการ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จัดขึ้นระหว่างเดือนมกราคม - กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์ด้านการบริหารจัดการสาธารณสุขข้ามพรมแดนระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาชั้นนำจาก 3 ประเทศ
โครงการดังกล่าวมุ่งเน้นการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ผ่านงานวิจัยและนวัตกรรม ครอบคลุมประเด็นสำคัญหลายด้าน ได้แก่ โรคข้ามพรมแดน สุขภาพแรงงานเคลื่อนย้าย ระบบบริการสุขภาพ และความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ โดยมีกิจกรรมหลากหลายรูปแบบ ทั้งการบรรยายเชิงวิชาการ การศึกษาดูงานในบริบทพื้นที่ชายแดนจังหวัดเชียงราย และการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างนักวิชาการและนักวิจัยจาก 3 สถาบัน
ทั้งนี้ โครงการได้เริ่มต้นด้วยพิธีเปิดและต้อนรับคณะศึกษาดูงาน เมื่อวันที่ 12 มกราคม 2569 และจะมีกิจกรรมต่อเนื่อง ได้แก่ การนำเสนอและแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้เชิงวิชาการร่วมกันระหว่าง 3 หน่วยงาน ในวันที่ 6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 รวมถึงกิจกรรมสรุปองค์ความรู้และแนวทางพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างเครือข่ายในช่วงปิดโครงการ
สำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง มีความร่วมมือที่ยาวนานและแน่นแฟ้นกับ Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) และได้ขยายความร่วมมือไปยัง The University of Western Australia เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายวิชาการที่เข้มแข็งยิ่งขึ้น โครงการนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษา อาจารย์ และนักวิจัยได้เรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับระบบสาธารณสุขของไทย การปฏิบัติงานสาธารณสุขชุมชน และประเด็นสุขภาพข้ามพรมแดน แต่ยังส่งเสริมความเข้าใจด้านวัฒนธรรมไทย วิถีชีวิต และความหลากหลายของชุมชนชายแดนในภูมิภาคนี้อีกด้วย
ความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้แสดงให้เห็นถึงบทบาทของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงในการเป็นศูนย์กลางการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ด้านสาธารณสุขในภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง และการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านการศึกษา การวิจัย และการบริการวิชาการแก่สังคมอย่างยั่งยืน พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการและการพัฒนาบุคลากรทั้งอาจารย์และนักศึกษาของทั้ง 3 สถาบันต่อไป

MFU Expands Cross-Border Public Health Collaboration with Leading Universities from Australia and the United States
On February 2, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), welcomed delegations from The University of Western Australia and the University of Oregon, United States at the Vanchai Sirichana Building, MFU. The visit provided an opportunity for in-depth dialogue on cross-border public health management, with particular attention to shared challenges and regional perspectives.
This meeting is part of the CrossBorder Health Program 2026, jointly organized by MFU’s School of Health Science and the Academic Service Center. Running from January to February 2026, the program brings together academic institutions from three countries to exchange perspectives, professional experience, and practical knowledge related to public health in cross-border settings.
The program addresses a range of priority themes, including transboundary diseases, health of migrant populations, health service systems, and international health cooperation. Learning activities are designed to integrate research, innovation, and real-world exposure, combining academic sessions with field visits in Chiang Rai Province that reflect the social and health realities of Thailand’s border areas. The program also facilitates professional connections among scholars and researchers from the participating institutions. .
Program activities began with an opening ceremony and welcome reception on January 12, 2026. Further key activities include joint academic presentations and knowledge exchange scheduled for February 6, 2026, followed by a concluding phase focused on synthesizing shared insights and identifying future directions for collaboration..
MFU’s School of Health Science has a well-established academic relationship with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and has extended its collaborative network to include The University of Western Australia. Through this initiative, students, faculty members, and researchers gain exposure to Thailand's public health system, community-based health practices, and cross-border health dynamics, alongside a deeper appreciation of Thai culture, local ways of life, and the diversity of border communities in the region.
This collaboration highlights Mae Fah Luang University's role in facilitating public health knowledge exchange in the Mekong Region and in cultivating meaningful t international academic partnerships. Such cooperation contributes to long-term development in education, research, and public engagement, while supporting academic growth and professional development for faculty and students across all participating institutions.
