Master of Science Program in Health and Biomedical Analytics

Mae Fah Luang University

Program Philosophy
Health and Biomedical Analytics is a field that integrates various analytical sciences,
including biomedical science, health science, and information technology. This integration
combines fundamental research principles, advanced biomedical analysis techniques, data
management, life sciences, health data mining, innovation, and artificial intelligence to
generate new and valuable knowledge.
The goal of this program is to equip students from diverse professional backgrounds with
the skills and knowledge to analyze and apply theories from related fields to address
current and future health challenges at both the individual and community levels. This will
require students to have 21st-century learning skills and to apply research-based strategies
to real-life health and healthcare challenges.
The ultimate outcome of this program is the production of health innovations and
technology innovations that improve the health and well-being of individuals and
communities globally through the development of advanced healthcare systems. Graduates
of this program are expected to demonstrate integrity, morality, professional ethics,

practical skills, positive attitudes, and a compassionate and caring spirit, thus earning the
trust, acceptance, and respect of society for a long time.
The Objectives of the Program
The aim is to produce graduates in Health and Biomedical Analytics who are highly
ethical, moral, and innovative leaders who can integrate various sciences in the fields of
health and information technology to create new knowledge. These graduates will use
research-based strategies to develop health and technology innovations, leading to an
improved healthcare system and better overall health for society. The graduates will be
equipped with integrity, professional ethics, knowledge, practical skills, good attitudes,
compassion, and a respect for human dignity, and they will inspire trust, acceptance, and
respect from communities.
Career Paths
The curriculum emphasizes the development of graduates who have the ability to conduct
research and innovate in the fields of science, health sciences, and health information
technology. These graduates can pursue careers in their chosen fields, continuously
developing themselves and advancing in the research and knowledge-building systems of
their profession, or switch to a new field of interest. For example, some of the career paths
they can follow include:
1. Data scientists in the fields of health informatics, precision medicine, and other
health-related data in government and private organizations, such as hospitals,
medical research centers, health research institutions, and health-related
government agencies.
2. Researchers in institutions of government and private medical and health sciences
research, as well as government and private hospitals.
3. Private sector data scientists who develop health diagnostic or product solutions.
4. Expert in the field of life science and medical products, such
