Our multidisciplinary research team from Mae Fah Luang University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phitsanurak Kantawee (Head of Cross Border Health Care Unit) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sasitorn Chusri (Biomedical Technology Research Group for Vulnerable Populations), conducted a significant field visit to disseminate crucial research findings.

???? Key Objectives:

  • Share findings on blood contamination among agricultural workers
  • Present empirical data on elevated chemical residue levels exceeding safety thresholds
  • Facilitate discussions on effective prevention strategies
  • Identify public health interventions to reduce chemical exposure

???? Supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals: ✅ SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being - Strengthening local health systems ✅ SDG 2: Zero Hunger - Promoting safe and sustainable food production ✅ SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production - Reducing hazardous agrochemicals

  • Promoting organic agriculture in Pak Chong area, Champasak Province
  • Capacity-building training for local public health personnel
  • Improving health literacy and risk communication skills
  • Early detection training for chemical exposure-related conditions

???? Program Highlights: Certificates of participation were awarded to attending health officials, recognizing their active involvement in advancing public health initiatives in the region.
